Oldest and the most active film association
Cinegoers’ Assocation was established in 1970 with an objective to develop films not only as an entertainment medium but also contribute to the nation’s human resource development. Ever since its beginning, the association has been actively engaged in honouring cinematic legends, conducting film festivals on yesteryear thespians, organising seminars on issues related to the film industry and hosting the annual Telugu film and TV awards given based on audience votes and moderated by expert committees. Cinegoers’ Association happens to be the first association to have introduced award categories for Best child artiste, Best Dubbing artiste (Male/Female) and Best talk show. The association also urges film industry and the government to encourage and promote local talent. The dedicated team of volunteers work closely with the Association’s objectives and ensure its smooth functioning.
